Flower Patch Kids promises to provide a safe and secure ‘home away from home’ for your child. We want each child to feel as valued and supported at school as they are at home. It is this security that builds the confidence to try new things, take risks, and overcome challenges.
Education Outdoors
Flower Patch Kids is a nature-based program. We will be outside for at least 4 hours every day, immersed in rain and shine.
While safety remains the highest priority, we strongly believe in the power and importance of getting dirty and engaging in ‘risky’ play. This means we will hop through puddles, jump from stumps, slide down hills, and climb trees. When children are given opportunities like these, they build strength, resilience, confidence, and learn how to assess risk. We are passionate about supporting these skills.
Nature is integrated into all aspects of our program and is rooted in the seasons and weather that surrounds us. We bring nature into our indoor space through use of natural and open-ended materials, and imaginative toys.
Emergent Curriculum
Flower Patch Kids aims to support your child to reach their fullest potential. Our child-led curriculum prioritizes their individual interests and experiences, which means children are given legitimate power to form their own learning paths.
Each child will have opportunities every single day to decide what they want to learn and how they want to learn it.
Learning Through Play
Flower Patch Kids aims to offer a whimsical, playful, and exciting environment that ignites a passion for learning and exploration.
Your child’s 'job' while at school is to play. Children will engage in hands-on and interactive learning through cooking, gardening, storytime, games, movement, theatre, music, art, and more. Through a play-based curriculum, we aim to nurture confidence, kindness, and a love of the outdoors.
Flower Patch Kids offers a Nature and Adventure-Based program led by a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE). As a fully licensed Multi-Age facility, and approved by the government's CCFRI (fee reduction initiative), this program warmly welcomes families seeking a supportive, exciting, and personalized childcare experience.
